About BES PTO

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Friends of BES website located in Bernardston, Massachuseets a small, rural, and agricultural New England town and is part of the Pioneer Valley School District

The Friends of BES was established to promote the welfare, growth and education of children, parents, staff and community at Bernardston Elementary School (BES). To reach that goal each year, the Friends of BES sponsors projects and events that will improve the educational opportunities of the students at BES. We hope this website will help you become more aware of what we are doing. Please feel free to visit our website often to keep in touch with the Friends of BES events at school.

The Friends of BES meets once a month to discuss issues presented before the executive board. We would like to invite all parents, teachers, and BES staff to join us for these meetings to share your feelings, concerns, and desires for the school. The general meetings are usually held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm (except for school holidays-please confirm all meeting dates on the Friends of BES calendar

As volunteers on the Friends of BES we know that it takes so many more volunteers like you to make our school great. We would like to thank everyone who takes the time to volunteer at Bernardston Elementary School. If you would like to get more involved, we would like to encourage you to sign up at our volunteer page. Together we can make a difference.
